  i may have used too strong of words in saying 'hate filled' by why do you all call someone who disagrees with you a 'troll'.

  i disagree with lots of people without resorting to name calling.

  You spent some insults on me - But I must tell you this - I feel sorry for you - Really do.

  You somehow feel empowered by coming on this board and attacking these good people that are only here to share experiences about being witnesses, and to help each other heal from the damage done to them by a heartless organization claiming to be the mediator between God and men.

  You think this is your platform to sword-fight with the Devil. Your organization tells you to do otherwise. We could break out the quotes if u like. You have sinned against organizational policy - and if you really believe all you state you should run, not walk, to the nearest phone. Call the Presiding overseer and tell him to put a Judicial Committee together to meet with you about violating the express commands from Mother Brooklyn about interaction on the internet with 'apostates'. This is a disfellowshipping sin according to them.

  Do you trust them to 'readjust you in a spirit of mildness'? Make sure you tell them how to access this site and your posts here - that way they can collect all the needed 'evidence' to convict.

  Or don't you really trust the judicial process of God's people?

  I am sure you will find a way to satarize and use biting sarcasm to offput all I have stated here - do your Damnednest - I call you no name here - I have in the past called you names - I do not retract or reverse. I meant them and they fit you.

  Why not be a real spiritual man [by watchtower definition] and stand up and take your punishment?

  thank you so much everyone for your replies, for talking to me over the last few weeks and for some of the humour.. i believe the jws are right and that they have the truth.

  I really think you are already a witness - when I look at the compilation of your posts together. That is ok if that is the way you could sort your feelings out. Glad we could be your sounding board.

  The real tragedy is if you are not already a witness - then you are just heading into the ripsaw. And I hate to see that happen to anyone. But you had more chances to make a correct choice than most of us did. But the choice is yours - good luck in your chosen life.

  I think the real note of appreciation should go out to all that worked so hard and researched the points she asked about - and then had it all ignored. So sad.

  I know this - that if I had known 1% of what was revealed to her before I became a witness, it would have saved me 32 years of wasted time as a baptized witness. I just think she was already a witness - why would all that information not affect you [unless you had the AFIN virus?]

  Even if we accept the JW version of this ; i.e.; 1- that we are living in the last days 2- that the preaching means open evangelicalism door to door as they do it - there are still serious matters of thought here.

  I spent 35 years + doing the JW version of 'preaching'. Mostly I spent time walking, riding, sitting in the car, knocking on empty doors or not at homes. When I did speak with someone, I was not interested in witnessing to the sacrificial value of Jesus' ransom and the person accepting Jesus as Savior - I was interested in, 1- placing literature, 2- starting a book study to study said literature, 3- making return visits or conducting book studies so that the person who took such literature would come to the Kingdom hall and study more witness literature.

  And I was efective at that work - I 'aided' at least 10 persons to become witnesses. But I aided no one to develop a personal relationship with God and His Son, Jesus. I helped them to become robotic and nuerotic in doing as told by an organization - but not in reliance on the Bible as a personal guide. I steered them away from trusting Jesus own words that he 'is the way and the truth and the life'. How could I have done otherwise - I was believing that the organization was the path to my salvation too. Oh yes, Jesus gets some token mention. But he is clearly taught to be a Mediator to only the annointed ones. Other sheep have no Mediator in Jesus, by watchtower teaching.

  Many are preaching the good news that Christ Jesus is the 'way and the truth and the life'. Jehovah's witnesses are teaching that the Watchtower is the pathway to life - if you try and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ apart from the witness faith - in their eyes you have turned away from the 'truth'.

  Since leaving the Watchtower organization, I have had many try and 'witness' to me in their own ways, and highlight the value of Jesus Christ - I think that constitutes preaching the real 'good news'.

  B4 you start that new thread - just scroll back up and re-read Little Toe, ozziepost, Almost Atheist, and BeeBee. There is a ton of good things to think about there. This represents more years of real, gritty experience in the organization than you will live. The advise is invaluable. And on spot. I cannot add to it.

  One little statement;

  Look hard before you leap. Once you leap in - the only means out are all painful and will take years to recover from. Free advise from those who know will save you cost you cannot imagine.

  Unpardonable sin = staying in the organization of Jehovah's witnesses when aware that to do so would make you liable to God for preaching half-truths and promoting an organization in the place of Christ as Mediator and Ransomer.. I think that would have made me a sinner against the spirit -so I had to leave.

  I just made comment on the same thing in another post - as wit. Great minds and all that.....

  That wholething reminds me of the elder who kept asking me - during my doubt phase - "Do you believe that elders are appointed and directed by Holy Spirit?" Little did I know he was trying to trap me -as that is one of the standard questions used to confirm apostasy [or something similar].

  I guess I confounded him though when I always answered "to the extent that they act in accordance with the Bible, inspired by that same Holy Spirit, to that extent they are allowing it to direct them."

  Didn't know it at the time - but that answer was just enough over the JW side of the fence to keep him from charging me with apostasy.

  WHEW!!!! CLOSE CALL!!!!

  there was a very well respected elder in my cong that i will call mr. r. this elder was a very zealous and pious jw and the po.

  mr. r was of cuban descent and had extremely conservative veiws.

  mr. r being the upstanding jw and elder had a very attractive wife and two cute kids.

  Actually - a friend in need I have read several of this guys posts - he is always sarcastic, and witness apologetic, and with no honest defense for his opinions, makes a post, then runs and hides, but maybe not a troll - why do you object to my having an opinion, but not he? I was just defending DL or others who wish to post stories that depict the real issues of JWdom. I didn't attack you. Jeff
